Story-first cuts for YouTube channels. I bring archive footage to life and build the maps, timelines and numbers that explain your story, so viewers stay to the end.
A good editor matches the channel. Each piece is built in a different documentary style, with the same care for pacing, sound and graphics that explain.

The Fight of the Century
Jack Johnson vs. Jim Jeffries, Reno, 1910, told with the original fight film, Library of Congress photos and newspaper archives. Dark and cinematic, cut for retention: archive in motion, a fight timeline, record cards and the headlines of the night after.
Original piece. Archive footage and images: Library of Congress, Smithsonian NMAAHC (CC0), Oregon Digital Newspaper Program, Internet Archive. Projector sound: Wikimedia Commons (CC BY 4.0). Music: original.

The Box That Runs the World
How one steel box changed global trade, and the six days one ship blocked the Suez Canal. Bold broadcast style: numbers that land on the word, a moving route map, a cost chart that collapses.

How a Scam Call Finds You
Told as a case file, from your number on a broker's list to the gift card at the end. Stamped exhibits, call-verification graphics and federal data, each beat timed to the narration.
Original piece. Statistics: FTC (2024–2025), FBI IC3 (2025) and FCC public information. Not affiliated with the FTC, FBI or FCC. Stock footage: Pexels and Pixabay. Phone numbers are fictional. Music: original.

The Format That Refused to Die
Vinyl went from nearly dead in 2005 to a billion-dollar business again. Warm and editorial, with charts that move with the voice, fast product cuts, and sound built around the needle.
Chicago, 1893, told almost entirely through one 1895 newspaper page: its floor plan, subheads and drawings, plus Holmes's own note from 1896. Dark and slow, like an internet-horror channel: archive on black, typed captions, silence before every reveal.
Original piece. Archive images: The World (Aug. 11, 1895), New York Journal (Apr. 12, 1896) and period photographs, all public domain via Wikimedia Commons. Music: original.
A narrative video essay for YouTube. I paced the voice-over around the story, cut the footage to each beat, and built toward the ending.

After Effects templates for video essays
A map route, a 3D timeline, a depth-effect photo and a number counter. They work in Premiere as Motion Graphics templates, so your editor can change the labels, years and numbers. I can build a version in your channel's colors and fonts.
